Latter-day Saints for Life Statement on Charlie Kirk

We at Latter-day Saints for Life are devastated at the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk. We urge you to pray for his wife and children.

We honor Charlie Kirk for his powerful pro-life work. He has been one of the most impactful and widespread voices for life of this generation. He has changed many minds on abortion and even saved lives.

As Latter-day Saints for Life, we stand by our prophet’s plea for us to become peacemakers. We solemnly and fully condemn such an evil act of violence, and urge others to refrain from returning evil for evil.

We are deeply troubled by the fact that, of all places, Charlie was killed in the heart of Utah, in a place known for a high Latter-day Saint population.

While we don’t speak for the official Church, we hope members everywhere make clear by word and deed that, like Charlie, we truly do believe in the sanctity of life.
